The Ah receptor (AHR), the Ah receptor nuclear translocator protein (ARNT), and single-
minded protein (SIM) are members of the basic helix-loop-helix-PAS (bHLH-PAS) family of
regulatory proteins. In this study, we examine the DNA half-site recognition and pairing rules
